Kipo (kēēpo) Plant Familiars & The Curated Landscape

This mini series takes a long look at familiar places and spaces in Greece, my familial homeland. Looking at the ways we make home, and the plants that we keep around us. Building worlds with beings that we can only communicate with on a biological level. This non verbal relationship that we have cultivated with plants has been touted to host many benefits including regulating our nervous system and relaying a sense of calm. 

Step into that feeling of awe as you wander through the vivid colours and shapes in this series. Choosing to focus on how a plant feels rather than what it may look like outright is my expression of this relationship and results in wild colour and energetic vibrancy.

Scenes from Athens, high on the mountain tops as well as glorious sunlit views of the the mediterranean sea, this playful and colourful series asks to be felt and seen, a playful excursion to unlock memories and feelings that make this part of the world so magical.

'Landscapes' Square Foot Show October 8th @ 8pm

Kipo (Kēēpo) will be available October 8th starting at 7pm through the Square Foot Show. I, along with 28 other artists will be showcasing works that delve into the world of landscapes and what they mean to us. 

The show is live for just 24 hours, so getting early access by subscribing is key if you want to get your hands on a work. All pieces are 12 x 12" and priced at $350 CAD.
