Debut screening of 'Reminders of You' by Ottawa-based artists Abby Cooper, Zineb Nour, and Esther Law at 2pm and 6:30 pm.
(This film acts as a love letter to the little reminders throughout Ottawa that show us we are never quite alone.)

'NOSTOS and Reminders of You celebrate the people, places, memories, and small moments that make a city feel like home.'

I'll be participating and have a special work of art included in this show. 'Pyramus + Thisbe (Bloomfields) is a reminder of my neighbhourhood and the love shared between a city and its' locals. The paths we walk every day, the backdrop of architecture to moments in our lives. Our lived experiences woven into the tapestry or a space and place.  And the moment captured in this work in particular? The love story between a human and their new plant familiar, two species completely captivated and finding a way to make home together.

Introducing my latest mini collection

Kipo (kēēpo) Plant Familiars & The Curated Landscape.

This mini series takes a long look at familiar places and spaces in Greece, my familial homeland. Looking at the ways we make home, and the plants that we keep around us. Building worlds with beings that we can only communicate with on a biological level. This non verbal relationship that we have cultivated with plants has been touted to host many benefits including regulating our nervous system and relaying a sense of calm.

Step into that feeling of awe as you wander through the vivid colours and shapes in this series. Choosing to focus on how a plant feels rather than what it may look like outright is my expression of this relationship and results in wild colour and energetic vibrancy.

Scenes from Athens, high on the mountain tops as well as glorious sunlit views of the the mediterranean sea, this playful and colourful series asks to be felt and seen, a playful excursion to unlock memories and feelings that make this part of the world so magical.
